Peter Gador-Whyte

Our Minister, Rev Peter Gador-Whyte was ordained in 1981 after completing a Bachelor of Divinity degree in Aberdeen, Scotland.

He has ministered in five parishes, from remote rural congregations in East Gippsland, to rapidly growing congregations in one of Melbourne's growth corridors. He has worked as an Army Chaplain as well as being Minister of Wesley Church in the centre of Melbourne's CBD.

As convenor of the Melbourne City Churches In Action, it was Peter's vision to establish a sculpture walk in the city to mark Jesus' way to the cross. This was a major undertaking and a significant ecumenical achievement.

Peter is married with four children.
He has a deep interest in liturgy and the way worship forms us as disciples of Jesus Christ. His gifts lie in guiding people toward deeper faith in God. Throughout his ministry Peter has carried a passion for Christian unity, working with other Christian Communities by building bridges of friendship and doing whatever we possibly can together.

Our Organist, Graeme Cross has been playing our pipe organ and leading us in praise for many years. He does a wonderful job of gathering together a choir to inspire and enrich our worship. Graeme is married with two grown up children and has recently become a very proud grandfather. He is a staunch supporter of the Hawthorn Football Club.

The Elders
The Church is gifted with lay leaders, chosen by the congregation to offer guidance and pastoral care to our Community. Every member is placed under the pastoral oversight of one of the Elders, whose responsibility is to build a strong vibrant community of faith.
