Church Band

In addition to the fantastic organ music which is enjoyed most Sundays of the year, Highfield Road Uniting Church also has a band which generally plays on the fourth Sunday of each month. The band has been playing for about a year now, and provides a more contemporary flavour to morning worship. The band's composition is fairly fluid, but when full, can consist of drums, guitar, piano, trumpet, alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, bassoon, flute, oboe, clarinet and vocals. The band plays music from a wide variety of sources, including Hillsong, Vineyard, Thankyou, Maranatha!, Integrity, and from such artists as Stuart Townend, Bernadette Farrell, Chris Tomlin, Delirious and many others. The band also plays songs from the hymn book, Together in Song.

While the band seems large, with so many of the musicians unable to play each week, we are always looking out for new members. If you can play an instrument you think would be suitable in the band, please feel free to ask about getting involved. For more information, contact:
